If you have Celiac disease or are gluten-intolerant, no need to fret. We’re rounding up some of our favorite gluten-free restaurants and activities in Paris.

Best Gluten-Free Restaurants and Activities in Paris

Restaurants and chefs may change their menus and ingredients. It’s important to always ask your server before ordering and to tell them whether you can tolerate traces of gluten or not. If you have a serious food restriction, let us know and we’d be happy to help you plan a scrumptious trip. Here are a few of our favorite eateries, baking workshops and food tours.

Best Gluten-Free Restaurants in Paris

Over the years, Paris has truly leveled up and increased their gluten-free options. One incontournable, or fan favorite, is Little Nonna. Located in a chic neighborhood, this fully gluten-free establishment serves up Italian fare. Pizza, pasta, beer – even a bread basket at your table! And it’s a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe.

Only a stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower, Su Misura is another fully gluten-free restaurant that serves pizza, pasta, focaccia, meat and fish.

For a casual sit-down restaurant, stop at NoGlu, which boasts several locations throughout Paris. Oui, you can enjoy a gluten-free croque monsieur and pain au chocolat, too.

And one of our favorite gluten-free eateries in Paris? Copains. Hands down. This bakery serves beignets, croissants, madeleines, babkas and beyond. As for savory options, you can grab bagels, sandwiches, pizzas and quiches. And all of it is gluten-free. Yes, you read that correctly. And with locations across Paris, you’re sure to find your petit plaisir

If you need an ice cream fix, the French chain Amorino is sure to tempt; all of their ice cream and sorbet flavors are gluten-free. And at certain locations, you can even ask for a gluten-free cone.

Beyond restaurants and bakeries, there are several French classics that are naturally gluten-free. Macarons are traditionally made with an almond flour base. Be sure to ask to make sure that these treats are indeed without gluten. Our favorite spots? Ladurée and Pierre Hermé. Savory crêpes, or galettes, are traditionally made with buckwheat flour. Ask your server to ensure that they don’t use a mix of flour and if it’s suitable for gluten-free guests.

Best Gluten-Free Baking Workshops

Paris doesn’t lack for quality restaurants and bakeries. But if you’re hoping to roll up your sleeves in the kitchen, you’re in luck. At French Side Travel, we offer various cooking and baking workshops, many of which can be adapted to guests who can’t eat gluten. Here are a few of our favorite gluten-free activities in Paris.

Crêpes Cooking Class

Just below the Eiffel Tower, on the streets of Montmartre, along the Seine… There are crêpe carts all over Paris, but virtually all use a batter with gluten. If you’re craving a sweet gluten-free crêpe, this workshop has your name on it. In this private class, spend the afternoon in a Parisian suite in the 8th arrondissement. Your chef will show you the best tips and techniques for making excellent crêpes. Caramel beurre salé, Nutella, Chantilly – try one or all of these toppings for the best gluten-free crêpe of your life.

Macarons Class

Most never guess how much work and finesse goes into making these small cookie sandwiches. Mastering macarons takes time and quality instruction. And during this private gluten-free friendly workshop, your baking expert will walk you through the meticulous process behind these tasty treats. Discover the techniques of Italian meringue and choose the colors and flavors of your cookies.

French Desserts Pastry Class

Have a sweet tooth but also gluten-free? These might seem mutually exclusive for your trip to Paris, but fortunately, we have various choices for this dessert workshop. Try your hand at chocolate and lemon macarons. Or roll up your sleeves to bake a chocolate caramel pie or a fruit pie. Make and taste (of course) a gluten-free version of raspberry financiers, a small French cake. Or chocolate lovers will want to make their own chocolate bars or truffles. The gluten-free choice is up to you!

Best Gluten-Free Friendly Food Tours
