Day 1: Paris

Saint-Germain-des-Près, located on the left bank of Paris, has established quite a reputation over the years. It is known especially for being a foodies dream visit, as it offers such a wide selection of places to test savor the French cuisine.

You will visit some famous bakeries and find out why French bread and pastries are a global phenomenon, here you will taste different kinds of french delicacies like the traditional “pain au chocolat” (chocolate bread), macarons, or modern bakery foods made by famous confectioners.

Day 2: Paris

Suggestion – Cluny Museum (National Museum of the Middle Ages)

The Cluny Museum, a museum of the Middle Ages, is located in the Latin quarter. The museum is 11,500 square feet, 6,500 of which are designed for expositions. It contains around 23,000 artifacts dating from the Gallo-Roman period up until the 16th century. There are currently 2,300 artifacts on display. The collections contain pieces from Europe, the Byzantine Empire, and the Islamic world of the Middle Ages.

To help you make your visit more enjoyable, please note that there are a large number of school groups visiting the museum on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Quieter times to visit are between noon and 02:00 pm, or after 03:30 pm.

Day 3: Paris

Day 4: Paris

Half-day private tour of Chartres Cathedral with driver guide

The guide will first give you explanations and descriptions about the outside, focusing on the 3 portals decorations. Dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, it is one of the most important collections of stain-glass windows in the world and the reason why this cathedral has been appointed as an UNESCO world heritage site.

The guide will invite you to explore the religious and secular scenes depicted on the windows, point to you the ancient labyrinth (1205) of the ground floor, and walk around the spacious nave, the superbly chiseled choir wall and the many other wonders this Cathedral has to offer.

Day 5: Paris
