Day 2: Nice
Private tour in Nice East with a driver guide
You don’t have to venture far from Nice to have an amazing tour between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. This tour guarantees you will immerse yourself in the authentic French Riviera ambiance. The day starts with amazing views of the Saint Jean Cap Ferrat peninsula and the whole region.
Then, it’s off to the famous hilltop village of Eze. Its twisty and narrow streets will lead you to the famous Exotic Garden with numerous cacti and original plants from all over the world. Situated at the top of the village, 1,300 feet high, you’ll also have the time to take in the stunning views of the western coast, which stretches all the way to the Gulf of St. Tropez.
Get ready for another great view at the next stop in La Turbie village. From there you will see the entire Principality of Monaco right below you, as well as the Italian border afar. In La Turbie, you can head to the impressive Trophy of Augustus, a Roman monument honoring Augustus’s victory over the 45 tribes in the Alps.
After lunch, head down to sea level and arrive at the renowned Saint Jean Cap Ferrat peninsula where billionaires from all over the world own incredible villas surrounded by pine trees and turquoise waters. The one that best illustrates this lifestyle is the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. The perfectly maintained gardens and the luxurious mansion will give you a taste of how the bourgeoisie enjoyed life in the early 1900s.
Day 3: Monaco
French Riviera: Private tour
Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in a standard vehicle for a full day of sightseeing and experiences across the French Riviera. This excursion will take you to two unmissable destinations: Monaco and Nice, where luxury meets coastal beauty.
It will be a day filled with unforgettable experiences and captivating sights.
Start your day in Monaco, a country of elegance and splendor. Discover its monuments, museums, and its magic ambiance. As one of the world’s smallest countries nestled between southern France and northern Italy, Monaco is home to the grand Monte Carlo Casino, a long-lasting emblem of sophistication. Wander through Monaco-Ville, the old town, and be blown away by its historic charm and enjoy the panoramic views from the Prince’s Palace. The cathedral and the palace add to the old city’s general allure, while Port Hercule makes you feel like a James Bond set with the numerous yachts.
In the afternoon, you will continue your day in the heights of Nice with the amazing panoramic views from Mont Boron hill (600 feet) from which you will see all of the Saint Jean Cap Ferrat peninsula. This viewpoint offers an interesting perspective of the city’s layout, setting the stage for your exploration: a leisure stroll along the famous Promenade des Anglais and a tour through the old town. Discover the narrow winding streets, quaint squares, and vibrant colored buildings typical of the inland Riviera villages. Delight in the abundance of elegant boutiques and sun-kissed terraces, enveloping you in the blissful ambiance of the Mediterranean.
You will also get to experience the bustling Place Masséna, with its iconic red facades and inviting arcades, an authentic city center where locals and visitors mix daily. Just a short distance away lies another emblematic square, Garibaldi, surrounded by yellow-hued residences.
At the end of this fulfilling day, your driver-guide will bring you back to your hotel.
Day 4: Nice
Private Tour with driver guide in the West Nice
Once you head towards the inland areas of Nice, the first peaks of the Alps will appear. On your way up, you’ll pass by small towns like the village of Villeneuve Loubet, which is a charming Riviera village, blending medieval history, seaside relaxation, Provençal markets, and Mediterranean flavors. It is also renowned as the birthplace of Auguste Escoffier, the legendary “king of chefs and chef of kings.”
While you’re here, the only Culinary Art museum in France invites you to discover the world of gastronomy through 10 exhibition rooms! Its ten rooms form the backdrop to Escoffier’s memories, and also to items and utensils of the time, a wealth of documents on the culinary art, dressed tables, a Provencal kitchen, a collection of over 3000 menus, both ancient and modern, items made of sugar and chocolate, as well as a large library and a research center on gastronomy.
Later, you will visit the famous village of Saint Paul de Vence, where many renowned artists like Matisse, Braque, Calder, Miro, Modigliani, and Picasso once lived. Marc Chagall is even buried in the town’s cemetery! They were all captivated by its medieval streets, walls, the fantastic natural light, and, of course, the breathtaking views. Even today, you can feel the remains of artistic history with the numerous art galleries and décor shops around.
