Suggestion – Lunch at Restaurant Hélène Darroze at Villa La Coste

The chef from southwest France, attached to the quality and freshness of the products she works with, has settled in Provence for the opening of her third restaurant, now decorated with a Michelin star.

Authenticity and sincerity are the key words of her cooking, through which she transmits all the emotions of seasonal cooking and the respect for products, seasons, and savoir faire.

In the Afternoon, Explore Aix-en-Provence with your Guide

Protected by the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, which rises to 1,011m, Aix-en-Provence is surrounded by countryside full of authentic Provençal houses and traditional French-style gardens.

Aix-en-Provence was the capital of Provence in the 15th century. Wealthy merchants and local dignitaries helped turn this city into the Florence of Provence as we know it today. One can find all the beauty of the noble Provence of the 17th and 18th centuries: handsome houses of the upper class, private mansions, city squares bursting with flowers, ancient fountains, and shaded narrow streets. Aix is truly a museum-like walking city, with unique masterpieces at every turn.

Aix was the inspiration to many of the greatest writers and painters: Guigou, Stendhal, Mistral, and Cézanne. As a city of art and culture, Aix possesses a wealth of superb architecture that has been carefully preserved and restored. Walking through the Cours Mirabeau and the Rue Gaston de Saporta one can admire the private mansions with their sculptured doors and windows and the intricate iron work on the balconies. Discerning shoppers choose the elegant boutiques in the Mazarin district.

Enjoy Aix and all its treasures!

Suggestion on the Way: Visit the Calisson Museum in Aix-en-Provence

Surrounded by a three-hectare large site of young almond trees, the Calisson Museum proposes a playful gourmet visit recounting the history of the famous Provençal confectionery. The confectioners will show you their savoir-faire and explain which raw materials are used for the preparation of the delicious callisons.

At the end of your visit, you will be invited to bake your own pastry!

Your driver-guide will then drive you to the hotel Baumanière, on the foot of the Baux de Provence medieval village

Day 2: Fishing And Horse Riding In Camargue

Full-Day Custom Tour with a Driver in a Luxury Vehicle

Enjoy a custom-built private tour from Arles with an English-speaking driver.

Morning Fishing Activity in Camargue

Discover the activity of the fishermen and women in the Camargue region.

Learn more about fishing with a net or trap, in a reasoned way, as it is still practiced in the Camargue. With a fisherman, go on his boat and share his work and his passion for his job and for the region so special that is the Camargue. During this convivial moment, the fisherman will show you the species that are usually found in this corner of the Mediterranean sea. You will also be able to taste freshly caught fish.

A picnic of the sea will be served on the boat. The menu is composed by a former starred chef and is made up of products caught during the night. This picnic is a real moment of sharing with the fisherman and his products.

After returning to the port, your driver will take you to another emblematic place of the Camargue.

Private Horseback Riding in the Camargue

Accompanied by your guide, you will discover the 500 hectares of the estate, divided between rice paddies and pastures. The famous white horses take you on a ride off the beaten path, close to the Camargue bulls.

Your guide, a native of the region, will show you the hidden gems of the wild and secret Camargue.

Option (Post-Tour)

You can extend your trip to Camargue with dinner at the Mas de Peint. An authentic place, serving tasty and refined local cuisine.

For dinner, the chef offers a unique menu that changes every day. You can choose to go for a 3-course or 4-course meal. Either way, you will always discover traditional dishes with a twist, and delight your taste buds!

To extend even further, you can spend the night at the Mas de Peint, the Charming and Authentic 5-star Hotel
