You can find a food market in Paris in every corner of the city. The Enfants Rouges covered market was created in 1615. It is Paris’s oldest food market in the Haut Marais which is close to rue de Bretagne.

This market gets its name from an old orphanage in the area, in which the children wore red always from 1534. The market is now owned by the city of Paris and has 2,000 m2. This historical place is now becoming a tourist hotspot, the market is equipped to fill the emptiest of stomachs, with its impressive range of stalls.

You will enjoy buying fresh products at these stalls full of color and fragrance. The friendly atmosphere is ideal for you to have a quick lunch at the Italian deli, the organic stand, the Lebanese caterer, or the Japanese snack bar.
