Working with French Side Travel was the best experience ever. Celia provided expert advice, set up all activities, tickets, transportation and tour guides that were excellent. My trip to France (which was postponed twice due to Covid) was a birthday gift to my mom for her 80th birthday. She has not stopped talking about the overwhelming joy it was and I have Celia and French side travel to thank. We used French Side Travel to plan our first visit to South France. They made our first time in France absolutely incredible! Despite of time difference, very responsive, professional. An excellent and stress free trip
We used Frenchside to help us plan our honeymoon in France! It was the first time either of us had used a travel agent. There were so many things that we wanted to see that we decided to let someone else narrow down into a trip that was relaxing but made it possible for us to see the things we wanted too. Matthew at Trailside helped us narrow down our trip, made recommendations to things we hadn’t even thought about and helped stay completely within our budget while getting to do excursions that felt luxuriously out of budget. Because we ended up traveling while Covid-19 was still a concern they were very flexible with us and our contact while we were in France, Emilie, was amazing at helping us book Covid tests to come back into the US and getting us options when something we had planned to do turned out to be unavailable. It made for an excellent and stress free trip.

A true life experience
I want to thank you all at French Side Travel for organizing a true “life experience” and to give you some feedback from what has been a tremendous trip to France specifically where your company was involved.
…Wonderful driver and guide… He served as our knowledgeable driver and expert wine guide. Absolutely superb! … the visit to the wineries all were exceptional, with each visit what I would call a very private and sophisticated review of their chateau. The cooking class also was superb and very fun. And the trip to Arcachon, including a trip to la dune du Pilat (a good hike up the dune) and oyster tasting, was different and fun. Again highly recommend it… a very sincere thank you to all for developing a wonderful itinerary and for managing all the details. If we or our friends will be heading to France we will be in touch.

Helpful, responsive and had very good suggestions
I used French Side Travel by picking them from their nice website. Not my usual way of doing things but they turned out to be the right choice. They helped my wife and I frame a two-week trip around a wedding we attended in Toulon. They were helpful, responsive and had very good suggestions. From the hotels to transportation to the private guide we had in Normandy for three days, the stress was taken out and the fun put in. Just what I had in mind and then some. Happy to recommend them.

Great for getting a personalized experience
After deciding fairly last minute to travel to France and explore a new region (Bordeaux), I found French Side Travel online and was impressed with their abundance of information and options for personalizing your trip. In addition to creating a fun, diverse itinerary, they coordinated all of my travel and accommodations. The tours themselves were either private or small, which was great for getting a personalized experience in the city and vineyards. They were also very flexible and responsive with me during the trip when I asked to switch the timing of tours. Very much recommended.

Loved everything and very much appreciated the way Andrew at French Side Travel coordinated all the details. Our personal guides were profoundly informative, and our drivers were always punctual and polite. Our hotels were the best in each location. We could not have done this without Andrews’s logistical coordination!
Everything went smoothly, even with an unexpected train delay, Andrew was able to contact guides and transport when I was unable to. We never felt alone!
Best vacations ever
We had the best vacation ever. We decided to go to France a month out, so felt a little scrambled on planning […]. Private tours were all top-notch with professional educated informative people who showed up on time and went above and beyond expectations. All accommodations were exactly what we wanted. Beautiful courtyards, bedrooms, quality breakfasts, and superb staff. I was nervous using a tour group I’d never used or was recommended by someone I knew. This turned out perfect and would definitely use again.
A Luxury Vacation
Overall, this travel team listened to our needs and created a trip that was perfect for 3 generations of travelers. All within budget. They upgraded our train from 2nd to first-class and added tours within a few days of our trip upon request. We experienced a few issues during the trip (Nice hotel) and the team helped communicate with the hotel and rectify the situation. I wish we had contacted them earlier than we did.
Beautiful architecture, great weather, and wonderful food/wine. French people of Paris and Provence were very warm and friendly (unexpected based on reading guide books). Eiffel tower cruise at sunset, Cave Light show in a small town in Provence, a wine tour in Provence, Monaco, and the picnic in a hilltop town near Nice were the most memorable.
We will never forget the hospitality at the Chateau in Saint-Remy-de-Provence and the beautiful rooms, grounds, and food.

Very good job at planning our 24 day trip
This travel company’s services did a very good job planning our 24 day trip to France. The information that we provided about what we wanted to see and do was included in the final Itinerary. The customer service by the travel coordinator and the main office was good. Problems incurred during our trip were addressed immediately and with a positive outcome. Hotel accommodation’s and tour guides were very good to excellent.
Normandy, Sarlat, Amboise and Annecy tours were excellent. On day 11, We enjoyed a restful lunch at a privately-owned castle in the Dijon. Another memorable event was our private tour of “Our Lady of Chartres”.

We really loved Bordeaux and would definitely visit again! Such a beautiful city and everyone was so friendly. We did a wine tasting in 2 châteaux and got an explanation of how the wine is made. It was really interesting and so peaceful out there. The staff in both places were lovely, and our guide was super friendly and chatty! The local agency arranged it for us rapidly and was very attentive with getting back to us. Everything was handled professionally and we were very happy with what had been chosen. (Our hotel was really beautiful also.) Thanks, team!

Loved all of the trips this travel company booked for our itinerary. They were very responsive when I had questions concerning my travel plans before and during my trip. I would definitely recommend this travel company.
The Palace of Versailles was probably the most memorable just because of the scale of the buildings and gardens. The Latin Quarter and Luxembourg Gardens pulled up a close second in Paris. The second segment was in Avignon which was completely different and the full-day tour of the Provence area was the best for that portion of my trip. The last segment was in Nice and enjoyed the full-day tour of that area (Antibes, Saint Paul de Vence, and Grasse.) Awesome trip and we made some great memories. Also purchased tickets to the French Open during a free day in Paris which was an incredible experience.
