Welcome to Calvi
One of Corsica’s highlights is the proud and trendy port town of Calvi, over many centuries part of the Genoese Empire and, as legend has it, the birth town of Christopher Columbus. With its enfolding hinterland of snow-streaked mountains and low hills covered with typical Corsican macchia (woods and scrubland), and the Genoese Citadel at its entrance, Calvi’s bay is an astoundingly beautiful sight.
The famous Chapelle de Notre Dame de la Serra erected in the 15th century on a hilltop offers a perfect lookout over the stunning panorama. On a rock nearby stands the life-sized marbled A Madonna di a Sarra with outstretched arms, the patroness of Calvi. The Corsicans believe that lovers who pay their respects to the Madonna will be granted, eternal love.
Calvi is surrounded by beautiful beaches. The sandy bay with its colorful marina bordered by a large pine wood is one of the most beautiful gulfs of Corsica. The boardwalk offers a rich selection of restaurants and terraces, as well as exciting water sports activities.

Day 2: Calvi
Private cruise on a yacht
Comfortably seated aboard your private boat, you leave the port of Calvi and head south toward Girolata. Along the way, you cruise through the spectacular Scandola Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its dramatic volcanic cliffs, sea caves, and crystal-clear waters.
Day 3: Cap Corse
Full-day guided driving tour to Cap Corse with a driver and a guide
You’ll get to know Cap Corse, the northern Corsican peninsula, starting just above Bastia. It is full of both stunning natural beauty and unique historical monuments.
In this private guided driving tour, you will start your day by discovering the magnificent Agriates desert with its paradisiacal beaches like Saleccia and Luto. A stopover in St Florent, initially a small fishing village dominated by a citadel, has become a famous harbor for pleasure boats and fancy yachts. Finally, you will reach Cap Corse through beautiful villages such as Pino, Col de Sainte Lucie, and Luri. There, you’ll have around two hours to see Place Saint Nicolas, one of France’s largest squares, as well as the small streets and the historic port.
